2nd stop: Bak Kut Teh!!! yummy!

Our second stop, wasn't much of a second stop, cause we didn't have to travel much, or almost at all, this buildings are just opposite of the Goh Chor Tua Pek Kong...Told you everything is conveniently close by to each other, thus, no reason for you or i not to go and check it out! haha...The architecture of the building is really nice, i feel like it's one of the old theater house...i was feeling old school when we cross the road towards the smaller paths with bigger things ;P

god of fortune - cai shen ye!

the 'old-school' rooster bowls!
all placed neatly, waiting to be served with the yummy bak kut teh!

we thought this is interesting!
a contrast of vintage tin cans with current supermarket found tin cans

this stall offers a variety of dishes from the various parts of a pig!
poor little piggies... time to snort around and take cover! *hide*

This bak kut teh store is directly opposite our first stop!
heard alot about this bak kut teh store!
but, never get to try it.
we were too early when we went over. the uncle is still cooking the stork!
hopefully, we will be able to make another trip to try again!

Did You Know...

1) There are no less than 4 stalls in Balestier selling Ba Kut Teh
2) The soup base consists of herbs and spices such as garlic, pepper, star anise and cinnamon.
3) The hearty dish is then washed down with strong Chinese tea ('tie-kuan-ying') that is reputed to cleanse the body of the oils from the meal.
